Documents required:

Tourist visa

1. Original Passport with minimum validity of six months from the date of return (Please provide old passports, if any).

2. Application form (Form 14A) filled and signed by the applicant and additional information form.

3. 2 recent passport-size colour photographs - with matte or semi-matte finish, 80% face coverage and white background.

4. Original covering letter (with signature) from applicant, addressed to the Visa Officer, Singapore consulate, Chennai - Letter should include self-introduction, passport number, purpose, and duration and accommodation details.

5. Hotel booking confirmation for duration of the entire stay. (If booked)

6. Salary Slip or bank statement for the past 3 months.

7. Residential proof in Southern India (If passport is issued from outside Southern region)

Business visa:

1. Original Passport with minimum validity of six months from the date of return (Please provide old passports, if any).

2. Application form (Form 14A) filled and signed by the applicant and additional information form.

5. Invitation letter from company or Form v39a from local contact*

6. Hotel booking confirmation for duration of the entire stay. (If booked)

7. Salary Slip or bank statement for the past 3 months.

8. Residential proof in Southern India (If passport is issued from outside Southern region)

Additional supporting documents may be required on a case-by-case basis.

*The local contact must be either a Singapore Citizen (SC) or a Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) who is at least 21 years old with a CorpPass account. If you are applying for an entry visa for business visit, the local contact must be acting on behalf of the Singapore-registered business entity.

LOIs issued by your Embassy can also be accepted if you are unable to secure an LOI from a local contact to support your visa application for business visits.

Social visit:

1. Original Passport with minimum validity of six months from the date of return (Please provide old passports, if any)

2. Application form (Form 14A) filled and signed by the applicant and additional information form.

3. 2 recent passport-size colour photographs - with matte or semi-matte finish, 80% face coverage and white background.

4. Original covering letter (with signature) from applicant, addressed to the Visa Officer, Singapore consulate, Chennai - Letter should include self-introduction, passport number, purpose, and duration and accommodation details.

5. A completed form V39A or Invitation letter (LOI) from the local contact*

6. Salary Slip or bank statement for the past 3 months.

7. Residential proof in Southern India (If passport is issued from outside Southern region)

8. Additional supporting documents may be required on a case-by-case basis.

*The local contact must be either a Singapore citizen (SC) or a Singapore permanent resident (PR) who is at least 21 years old with a SingPass account. If you are applying for an entry visa for business visit, the local contact must be acting on behalf of the Singapore-registered business entity.

LOIs issued by your Embassy can also be accepted if you are unable to secure an LOI from a local contact to support your visa application for social visits.

Fees

The Visa processing fee and Visa service fee for each application are 30 Singapore dollars* and  INR 650 respectively. Visa processing fee and Visa service fee are paid on application. The processing fee and service fee are non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the application or withdrawal of application after submission. Please do check with your respective Authorised Visa Agent on any other administrative / miscellaneous fees which may be levied.

*The Visa processing fee charged by the Authorised Visa Agents when converted to India rupees may vary based on the latest exchange rate on the day of application.

Processing Time

Your Visa application will be processed in 3 to 5 working days after your application has been submitted to an Authorised Visa Agent. This excludes the day of submission, weekends, and public holidays. Some applications may take longer to process.

Each visa application will be considered on its own merits.
